MathOfInsects
Dumb question, but will basically any dual-switch foot-pedal with TRS work for this? www.joshweinstein.com

RudyS
Normally the momentary switches are TS. Rudy
MathOfInsects
Thanks. There are a lot of dual-switch options that do have TRS out, but I guess what I am asking is...there is no MIDI or other data being transmitted, right? It's just basically an on/off switch of ANY kind, so long as it sends two signals to the board. Correct? www.joshweinstein.com
RudyS
That is normally the case indeed. Any switch will do. (Tbh I dont know particulary about the NS3, but al the boards I had worked this way!) Rudy

bjosko
Boss FS6 or FS7 are shown at Nord. 2 Boss FS 5U ( not the L model) slided together would also work. But as written, any momentary switch will work. I think i would have used a 2xTS to 1 TRS cable. Then you can switch around the TS cables so they are working in the direction you want them to operate. I remember an older thread at Norduserforum where a guy was trying to use a Behringer pedal with TRS to TRS to work, but he could not change the up/down behavior because of the TRS cable. /Bjørn - old gearjunkie, still with lot of GAS
RudyS
I love those boss fs units. I have ruined quite some of the cheaper plastic ones before buying those boss units. These are very well built! Rudy
rickp
I've been using an old Yamaha FC5, which obviously will only work in one direction - but for anyone just wanting to cycle straight through a pre-arranged program or song list, any spare sustain pedal would work. MathOfInsects
I went with the Behringer FS112V, which is theoretically a controller for their bass amp but is just a dual footswitch with TRS. It is a slightly smaller (but otherwise similar) version of the Boss pedal, so seems like the best compromise between build and price. $20 delivered. Works like a charm. https://goo.gl/images/Vsj3jG www.joshweinstein.com
