A gigging keyboard like a Nord Stage 3 for me, too. *phew* (as I just bought one a few weeks ago, and Id hate to have to return it)

Love it, btw

I would like to apologize to anyone I have not yet offended. Please be patient and I will get to you shortly.

Pointless.

A Kronos or Montage in response to

"I use a computer exclusively"?

I use a computer because both these cost so much and don't provide the VI's I need.

Result: A modern analog synth like a Dave Smith Prophet or a Moog Sub 37

Don't own either ...

Result: a Eurorack rig.

No thank you, I dont even have one.

For my other 2 times, a Nord Electro type of keyboard, and a workstation. I like Nord, but its used so much, and a workstation makes sense. I do have my eyes on the Nord Stage though eventually, seeing how it has a VA engine and Farfisa sounds.

Montage or Kronos.

I dont own either.

Same here, but to be fair, a Kurzweil PC361 (which I have) or Forte is in the same general category of "A do-it-all workstation". I give them a B-, though, because they didn't mention the most important thing about the computer to me -- voice editing.

"Result: A classic '80s synth like a Roland Juno (or a whole room of them)."

Guilty as charged.

I got the same thing. Maybe my objectives have been wrong all along

Honestly, I do admire the 80s synths, but don't have the stamina for owning these old beasts (as discussed in another thread)... plus they are near impossible to find here and prices are absurd.

I got lucky in the 90s occasionally, and had a couple of nice deals in the 2000s and 2010s, as well including a defective Memorymoog for very little money a couple of years ago that I then spent insane money on having LAMM'ed by Rudi.

NORD Stage 3 was not my choice. I just have never connected to them. My new Roland RD 2000 I have finally found my way around and once again Roland has me.
