niacin
So I played a gig last night that turned into a jam. Another keyboard player who knows his way around a Hammond showed up and played a set. He commented that I played very clean, meaning the organ sound, not my articulation. I replied that the overdrive on my SK2 didn't sound too good (yes I've tried the modelled amp variations). If I want a decent over-driven Hammond sound I hook up an HX-3 module and use the SK2 as a controller. So it got me wondering if the overdrive on the XK-5 is better than that on the SK series ? Gig keys: Hammond SKpro, Korg Vox Continental, Crumar Mojo 61, Crumar Mojo Pedals
