mate stubb
Were you on stage or in the audience? CEB
Oh man. I was playing. They started over using them toward the end of the night. They were on for most of this Fall Out Boy tune. I was getting sick. I was afraid I was going to have a seizure. For those that don't know these are big ass strobes. J. Dan
Not all lighting guys are created equal. I feel your pain. Lighting is an art and the guys that do it right don't get noticed because if they do it right, the focus is the band, not the blinky lights. CowboyNQ
My two pet hates are when the lighting folks: 1. COMPLETELY black the stage 2. Shine too many lights in the audience's eyes. You can see them squinting and squirming in discomfort.

DanL
My two pet hates are when the lighting folks: 1. COMPLETELY black the stage 2. Shine too many lights in the audience's eyes. You can see them squinting and squirming in discomfort. At our Echoes show Friday, the LD blacked the stage during the beginning of Pigs, so all you saw was the video. The problem was, our new bass player is using a fretless on the song and couldn't see his bass. Needless to say it sounded "interesting". J. Dan
I used to have trouble with blacked out stages when the next song starts with piano or other keyboard parts. I ended up getting a USB gooseneck lamp for the kronos (top) and a magnetic LED lamp that sticks to the bottom of the kronos for the lower tier. I keep them both off unless I need them, then it's just a quick push of a button to get the needed light.
