But you have to understand; Dave – like most other people up in this neck of the woods – would literally have to be on his deathbed before he would accept financial help. Though admirable, it is not always in one's best interest to be this way. He is determined to beat this on his own. Again, not always in one's best interest. However, I've seen him work. When he is in the midst of a project, he is unstoppable. All these physical ailments he's going through right now are just another project (albeit, an extremely unpleasant one). When I spoke to him Thursday afternoon, he sounded tired, but seemed to be in good spirits. I don't believe he will fail. And at this point, I don't think he believes that either.
