Passive Monitor Controller Comparison

Im trying to get different perspectives to decide which gear will perform better to make my rack more compact.

My objective is to have a single box to divide 2 channels + 1 subwoofer signal.

Ive heard about Radial Engineering MC3 in another post here in this community and after reading some bad reviews (loss of audio quality, poor stereo division) Ive searched another one that I understand will serve for the same purposes: SMPRO M-Patch 2.1.

I have 3 weeks to make the decision before a friend is back from USA (it will be my Christmas gift), but frankly I cant decide just reading reviews

Anyone familiar with those?

Any passive device will have some signal loss. Just curious why you need it to be passive? Can you fill us in on what the rest of your rig is?

Hi,

Actually I've started a post related to this:

https://forums.musicplayer.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/2859740/1

I'm trying not to use my mixer to send signal to the Sub:

Gear -> Mixer -> Focusrite -> Speakers

Mixer -> Subwoofer

So with the MC3 or SMPRO I'd use one box to consolidate all signals to the speakers and the sub.

Tks!
