Mark Zeger
FWIW, There's an excellent Rochester band, The Chesterfield Kings, making 2 appearance on TV this weekend. A good way to describe them is that they would fit right in on the "Nuggets" compilation. (Lee Flier, you'd probably like these guys.) Incidentally, the band's bassist Andy Babiuk wrote the "Beatles Gear" book. They're playing on Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight and appear in "The Sopranos" this Sunday (performing in the club managed by Adriana). "Little Steven" Van Zandt produced the band's last album so there's the "Sopranos" connection. He's also on Kimmel tonight.
ihategarybettman
Cool; if I'm still awake (or sober - hey, I'm meeting friends out for happy hour), I'm definitely going to check 'em out!
PBBPaul
I've seen The Chesterfield Kings at Summerfest in Milwaukee a couple of times. Great band! I didn't know they were from Rochester, I'll have to watch tonight if I can. Jokerelli
Are they the same Chesterfield Kings that were around in the 80s? If so, I saw them in a little afterhours club on staten island. They were great. Jokerelli http://www.myspace.com/jokerelli
Boggs
The HOG is on Titus Avenue and yes, it is still in all floors of that big old house... It most likely is the same group from the '80s. They've been around for a long time...
