Today a slew of horses hadda get up early to suit up & run a race tonight abt 6pm so some ppl could have a party & maybe make a few dollars.

Is it bad form to say "Break a leg" ?

After all it's still show bizniz.

Here's some time-killin' party material as y' might await that magic hour...[wha ? only 2 1/2 minnits, not an hour ? Oh.]...

Anywhat...

Churchill Downs was founded by Meriwether Lewis Clark, jr, grandson of famed explorer William Clark with his uncles (for whom the track was named) in 1874, after a tour of English racing sites.

His intent was to make horse-racing more "family oriented, safer for race watchers but also more reliable.

This was the 1st racetrack in the USA where the end of the race was visible to those watching the start of the race.

A classic

"Call me what instrument you will, though you can fret me, yet you cannot play upon me.'-Hamlet

Guitar solos last 30 seconds, the bass line lasts for the whole song.
