The technology is not quite there yet.

Currently, the phone system provides the quickest bidirectional audio communication system. And of course the audio quality sucks.

Current Internet realtime audio systems have better audio quality but suffer from long delay (temporal lag) and bad feedback problems. So at the moment, internet jamming is not really ready for the masses.

There are some academic groups trying to do this but they use specialized equipment.

J.S. Bach Well Tempered Klavier

The collected works of Scott Joplin

Ray Charles Genius plus Soul

Charlie Parker Omnibook

Stevie Wonder Songs in the Key of Life

Weather Report Mr. Gone

Can anyone recommend a good way to jam online with a guitar or bass player? I googled it but can't tell what software is good?

Anyone with any experience with this?

Google Jamkazam.

We were early adopters/quais beta testers.

My band uses it now and then when going over a new tune.

We are spread out all over the place, in different cities.

caveat: we all have Fios type connections/bandwidth.

We have not had lag issues. It's a trip the first time you use it.
