The cool thing is you don't have to modify a standard diesel engine to run biodiesel, so there's really no excuse at all not to use it. Biodiesel can be made from recycled waste oil (like the used cooking oil from restaurants) too. If you're curious about biodiesel, check out http://www.veggievan.org . Also, read this really cool article about a friend of mine that owns a local recording studio here in Atlanta, and has gotten into the DIY biodiesel business.
