zeronyne
I've decided to get a Boss Katana amp for my kid after seeing how well it can take pedals (as well as all of its other features and sound quality). I have a question, though, that is difficult to determine at a store. Is the 50 watt version loud enough to be heard over unamplified acoustic drums? The 50 is such a versatile and cost effective amp, but it will be useless for our needs if it can't be heard over a typical five piece kit. "For instance" is not proof. Sharkman
I read about the Boss Katana 100 watt amp in the new issue of Guitar Player, and I'm also interested in the 50 watt version. So if any of you are familiar with this amp, I'd really love to hear more. I rock; therefore, I am.
Larryz
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Kata100?utm_source=MSN&utm_medium=PPC&utm_campaign=none&utm_term=Brand&creative=9338692709&device=c <---since they are solid state amps, I think 50 is a little light. I would go with the 100/50/0.5 model just to be on the safe side. If it were a tube amp, 30 or 40 would be enough for me... Take care, Larryz
