meccajay
Posted in these threads before, Ive always posted my usual favs...PBS, discovery channel, reality TV,scrubs, West Wing, Alias, The Shield being a fav, etc etc, blah blah blah.. Now there's a new kid on the block. The Dave Chappel Show. I see a couple of you mentioned it. If you've seen it, you've probably thrown up from laughing so hard. I swear, the Rick James/Charley Murphy sketch was probably the funniest thing Ive ever seen on TV! On the other hand, the show is very very brutal in it's approach to sketch comedy, so maybe it just won't appeal to you. There's constant use of the "N-Word", and various expletives being bleeped out throuout the show.. As Chappel himself says, it's the only show on TV where we show a little girl run over by a car and people laugh at it. Very cutting edge stuff... TROLL . . . ish. coxnvox
I'll second BBC's "The Office." I bought the 1st season on DVD, and it's incredible. Well-written characters, well-acted, a real gem. Outy, kc
