ksoper
Deja vu, right? Sorry, Eric--we'll miss you by a day. My wife has a conference in Carlsbad and we're going to make a trip of it. I've only ever been to San Diego once and that was to play the County Fair--I saw the hotel and the grandstands. We'd like some advice on what not to miss, where to eat, etc. The Spreckels organ is on the list for Sunday afternoon. We already bought zoo tickets. We're not into touristy, don't care about shopping, love to eat seafood, sushi, Mexican, Thai, Indian, and enjoy the off-beat, quirky things in any given place- i.e, we'd rather see the world's largest ball of twine than the outlet mall. We don't do the microbrewery thing, but love a good Manhattan. As the conference runs Thursday through Saturday, I'm not sure if we can make a gig, but let me know if anybody's playing and we'll see what we can squeeze in. Thanks!
