Mark Zeger
Didn't know if this should go in "shameless plugs". Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra has a very piano-centric opening concert that will be live streamed this Thurs at 8pm Eastern/5pm Pacific: Our season-opening concert features the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis and some of today's top pianists, including Dan Nimmer, Joey Alexander, Dick Hyman, Helen Sung, Larry Willis, Myra Melford and Isaiah J. Thompson. Performing definitive compositions by piano geniuses like Jelly Roll Morton, Bill Evans, Thelonious Monk, Dave Brubeck, and Marcus Roberts, tonight's special guests will showcase an astonishing evolution of jazz piano that now spans over 100 years.
