Markyboard
Saw this tribute from Moog Music just a few hours ago. So sad to lose another true pioneer.

KenElevenShadows
Such a pioneer of analog synthesis. I'd met him a couple of times, as well as his son. Probably many here on this forum have. So sad. Synthaholic
I just went and listened to some Suzanne Ciani. The fact there's a Highway To Hell and only a Stairway To Heaven says a lot about anticipated traffic numbers People only say "It's a free country" when they're doing something shitty-Demetri Martin

newkeys
Don Buchla basically let me invent my own unpaid college internship, rewriting manual materials for him to finish my Technical Writing program 15 or so years ago. I walked up to him at a performance involving one of his instruments, explained what I was looking for, and he took me on. He was always very gracious and laid back, even when I was late turning material around for him. (Documenting a Buchla instrument is not a simple process.) He was not only a major talent, but a decent human being -- two things that don't always go together. RIP.
