dazzjazz
Does anyone here know anyone at SONY service? This issue is I have a pro audio recorder (PCM-D50) that I bought from Sweetwater 6 years ago that has died. It had very little use and was always looked after well. The customer service reps are telling me they don't service that mode any more! This is unacceptable - it's pro unit and given its use, should last longer than that. Any ideas? www.dazzjazz.com PhD in Jazz Organ Improvisation. BMus (Hons) Jazz Piano. my YouTube is Jazz Organ Bites 1961 A100.Leslie 45 & 122. MAG P-2 Organ. Kawai K300J. Yamaha CP4. Moog Matriarch. DulceLabs.com
Hey there. Sorry for your issue. Just from a rudimentary search, it appears there are a lot of users who have had issues with this model. I suggest joining the Sony forum and PMing this guy who works for Sony support to see if he can help - It seemed he was able to help a guy last year with this model: https://community.sony.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/183694 But unless it's something real simple, you will probably be better off just getting a new recorder with a better reliability record rather than sinking more money to repair a 6 year old unit.
