mate stubb
Due to an old musician buddy of mine retiring and preparing to sail around the world on a sloop, we had a reunion and jam session of one of my more talented high school bands on Friday night. I have not played with or seen some of these guys for over 40 years. There was some added impetus because our bass player is in pretty poor health, and there was a bit of "now or never" feeling. So people gathered from 4 different cities and we went for it with a song list straight out of 1971. Argent, Jethro Tull, Joe Cocker, Mountain, etc. Pizza, beer, whiskey and music flowed. We sounded pretty darn good if I do say so myself. Unfortunately our bass player had a big heart attack right after we all left. He made it to the ER in time though, and is resting comfortably today. Get well, Jimmy! I don't know if there is a moral to this story, other than do what you can, while you can... http://www.hotrodmotm.com/images/misc/revolver_reunion.jpg Moe ---

Really i am sure he is glad you put his business on the forum. I would never do that. In my opinion that is something that is personal. Why would you want to slander someone? I do not agree with his actions but i would never talk down players on a forum. Do you really think that is appropriate and degrading someone behind their back? Come on get a life? You should look up the definition of "slander" before you accuse someone of it. Incarceration status is public information and is well-known to those in the local area. Perhaps if I were disclosing something that happened years ago and the sentenced had been served, I would agree with you. Pa Gherkin
Mate, nice to hear you were able to do this. I participated in something similar not long ago with my first "full time job" band ( joined in late '69) and it actually sounded better in the present. Without going into detail why,I must say I absolutely agree with your "do what you can while you can"philosophy. Wishing a full and fast recovery for your bass player.
