I-missRichardTee
What are your experiences with them? i guess there are two routes separate battery or battery as part of the amp design. AnotherScott
Klipsch KMC 3 was the most portable battery powered speaker I found that I felt was loud enough to pretty comfortably do a cocktail hour or a small "unplugged" thing. If you need more volume, Roland seems to have generally had that market pretty wrapped up for a while, though there are some relatively new entries I'm curious about, especially the lighter ones, i.e. Mackie Freeplay, Denon Envoi Go, and Behringer MPA40BT-Pro. Maybe this is the best place for a shameless plug! Our now not-so-new new video at https://youtu.be/3ZRC3b4p4EI is a 40 minute adaptation of T. S. Eliot's "Prufrock" - check it out! And hopefully I'll have something new here this year. ;-)
J. Dan
The best reviews I've heard on a battery powered amp is the Crate Taxi, available in 15 and 30 watt versions. I have not played them myself and they are discontinued so you'd have to find one used. Most of the positive reviews I've heard are from guitar players playing acoustic and vocals for street performing and similar. But they all said the sound was superb and they last something like 8 hours on a rechargeable battery. Baldwin Funster
Guitar amps are very hit or miss for amping keys. Most cant handle the extended low end and artifact in some bad way. Something made for bass specifically would be a better choice. FunMachine.

It has mic inputs, etc. It's a mini battery powered PA with an 8" woofer and Piezo tweeter. Keysguy
I had a Roland BA330 for about an hour before I packed it up and sent it back. No Guts at all. I was excited by the mixer and stereo link function and planned to get two. What a disappointment. Good for a Acoustic Guitar and Vocals in a small setting, thats it. Or maybe a practice amp but kind of pricy for that. I wish they'd get rid of the battery idea and put a 250 watt per channel stereo amp in there. How many people care about running on batteries, I hate anything with batteries.
I-missRichardTee
So NO way to play softly at a low key party in a park, eh?
