RABid
I was at least hoping for info about Thunderbolt 3 implementation in the computer line. Kenny Ingram
Am I getting old and cynical? Haha maybe. Personally, I also will not buy an iPhone without a headphone jack on it at this point. I simply don't use any Bluetooth headphones that sound as good as my wired ones, and half of what I do with my iPhone is listen to music. But the 3D Touch is actually very cool. I have an iPad Pro 12.9 and would love to control some of the synth apps with velocity! In terms of their "new phone", I don't think it's at all worth the new "7". It should be the 6-something because I don't really see it as a generation ahead in anything other than the subtle waterproofing they added, I believe. Their flagship will happen next year, with the 10 year anniversary of the iPhone.

Joe Muscara
Nobody expected any Mac updates nor macOS stuff. The fact that they mentioned Macs at all (during the iWork collaboration bit and the AirPods connecting with all your devices) is more than usually gets mentioned at a iPhone event. BTW, I looked at the AirPod page in apple.com and didn't find anything regarding requirements. Will they only work with iPhones 7 and later, Apple Watch series 2 and later? I have no idea. I'm not sure I want them, but it'd be easier to decide if I can't use them anyway. "I'm so crazy, I don't know this is impossible! EscapeRocks
These events have become nothing more than an excuse for people to jump on the "let's bash Apple" bandwagon and castigate those of us who actually use their products as "sheeple." It actually makes them look stupid. I don't give a damn what products anyone likes, uses, or buys. Apple, PC, Android, Korg, Nord, Yamaha, Casio, Ford, Chevy, Honda, and on and on....whatever. If it works for them, that's excellent. The need to constantly cut down any segment of society because of their product desires is fucking ridiculous. Right now on social media, the usual vociferous crowd is gleefully getting their digs in. xKnuckles
Hmmmm lets see: My nice, high quality headphones will no longer work without a clunky adapter... I will need a crazily expensive pair of Apripods or some such name... The expensive Apricods are Bluetooth so will never sound as good as my nice headphones. The OverpricePods also need to be charged..... And Bluetooth doubtless will suck the life out of my battery...... This is progress? Think I will stick with my old iPhone. 16251
I never like using wireless headsets at work. All that electric/battery next or in your ear. Plus if you forget to put on charger or the cleaning crew knocks it off the charger, then you can't use until charged. Now big Apple wants me to pay $149 for wireless earbugs and there's another thing I have to charge every night. Big Apple also improving camera. IMO, the only way to really take pictures is having a viewfinder. The LCD screen is useless in sunlight and you can't really frame picture. RABid
I love my iWatch for monitoring texts, calls and current temperature but not for exercise. After two weeks with the iWatch I went back to FitBit and saw nothing in this event that would encourage me to get rid of my FitBit again. I have to wonder how much of a battery drain the built in GPS will be. Maybe that is why you start and stop runs. Battery life can be a major issue with always active programs. I had to uninstall the Hue lighting control from my iWatch because it was such a battery drain. This post edited for speling. Seems like a lot of time I spend as much time fixing what it got wrong as I would just typing it to begin with, because you gotta read through, it delete a bunch of wrong stuff, then still type. Siri pisses me off. I don't know how many times I've ended my conversation with her with "F*ck You Siri!" LOL. I have a company phone and can only pick from what they offer. At the time I got mine, it was 5s or 6. Actually, I would guess now my only choice would be the 6, so I'll hang onto my 5s as long as it works. I hate changing phones anyway....the PITA of getting everything authorized on our corporate network, installing all the apps you need in order to get on there in the first place, then waiting for everything to sync up with Exchange Server, iTunes, Cloud, etc. Last time took about 2-3 days before everything was completely up to speed. But I understand my situation is different than most due to the corporate network security and all that.
