hardware
Want to buy a spare for my B1200 Behringer Sub. Would this speaker work? Already have Eminence spares for my SSv3. Like to use all Eminence if possible. Fantastic speakers me thinks. Just haven't bought a sub since the Baretta 41. J. Dan
That sub is really designed for horn loaded enclosures. Eminence has better speakers for that application. I have some software to model response and output based on certain parameters. If you can estimate the INSIDE dimensions of the box, and measure port dimensions (Depth, and area), I could probably recommend the best driver. I already have Thiel-Small parameters for most of the eminence drivers loaded in my speaker database. Guessing something like the Delta 12LFA would be a good fit. Unless you want to keep it light weight...for a little more money you can go with a neodymium like the Deltalite or step up to the Kappalite. hardware
Thanks Boss. I shall try and get that handled by next week. Money is never the object, sound quality is. The Sub already sounds good, but it's longevity that I am concerned about. As soon as the speaker that's in there start fizzing out a quality replacement is something I can easily do. Thanks for the hint, and I shall read up more on their choices. Is this the one you're thinking of?
