Philter
anyone got any cool tips? Here's one: I usually import an audio demo from a client into ProTools and then build an arrangement around it. I have a client I'm doing arrangements for who keeps sending me RealPlayer audio files, which suck because there's no way to use the files anywhere else. Wiretap is a handy, free app that records any audio playing through your mac and saves it as an .aiff file on the desktop- kind of like a screen capture, but for audio. Groovepusher Sly
I think there's also a program that will convert an audio file from one format to any other format you need. Might be at OSX Audio . GeorgeVW
The piece of OS X (and previously OS 9) shareware that I use the most is CopyPaste, a multiple clipboard buffer application. While it's not music specific, you can use it to copy multiple musical phrases in a sequencer and paste them at will. 1001 uses. You can find it at http://www.copypaste-x.com/
