Originally posted by Brittanylips: This is a great idea. However, I checked out their website and there are a few fishy things about it that raise the old red flags.-brittanylips
Fishy indeed! I found the site 3 months ago when seeking WAV-to-MIDI software and never downloaded the program demo because while the timbre (only) of maybe 2 of the 14 demo samples resmbled the wav original, nothing else came close! I don't know how they had the nerve to put em up. And the major mag reviews...are they trumped up?

The demo files that exist in our site ( http://digital-ear.com/midi.htm ) are perfectly close to the original wav files (we woudn't post MIDI's that sound bad anyway, would we? ) If the midi files sound strange, you should check this: http://digital-ear.com/pitchbend.htm Also we would like to point out that Digital Ear works in non-realtime as well (and you have much more control in this mode.) We know that Digital Ear sounds too-good-to-be-true. But it really does what we promise. All you have to do in to download that demo and verify it by yourself. Take care, -- The Digital Ear Team
Originally posted by lovesinger: Fishy indeed! Digital Ear is monophonic (no chords). IMHO *reliable* polyphonic music recognition is still many years away...
Originally posted by seclusion: Somethin else to figure out.. Does it do single notes like autotune or can it do chords too?? Seems interesting though.. Brian Sorry I'm a PC guy, so I'm aloud to try it.. Na nana na na na.... :p
