Pink Floyd was one I should have seen back in the 70's. I also just about went to see Elvis at his second to last concert, but I couldn't convince anyone to crash the concert with me. He was at the new big concert hall in Indy, that has now been torn down, it was impenetrable to us concert crashers at the time. I still had a plan to get in for free, but it would have taken some serious balls and everyone I knew was getting tired of breaking the law.

In 1981 I moved in a couple of blocks away from the Santa Monica Civic. I was touring with Jean Luc Ponty at the time, so I rode my bike down to the show when we played there. Security wouldn't believe that I was the keyboard player (since they saw me with a bike) and wouldn't let me in. I pleaded for a half hour before I saw the tour manager and he got me in, just in time. It was a great hall to play. Sounded beuatiful on stage and had a nice intimate vibe. You're right, now it's mainly cat shows and such. Don't know why.
