ProfD
Well, I surely hope the Wizards will play better defense and win games 2 and 3 to even up the series. It was totally unsatisfactory for the Wiz to blow a 16-0 lead in game 1. Then, in game 2 they let that little azz PG score 53 points. Joe Muscara
The Cavs and the Dubs are both undefeated so far in the playoffs. That's pretty mercenary. I was hoping the Jazz would tire GSW a bit so they would be well-worm by the time the Rockets got to them. "I'm so crazy, I don't know this is impossible! Joe Muscara
I don't know what happened to the Rockets. Sigh. They had a great season, but showed signs of slowing down towards the end and I don't know why. To me, except for a few moments like game one vs. the Spurs, they looked like that during both rounds of the playoffs so I'm not surprised they're done. It was fun while it lasted. Dave Bryce
The playoffs have been kind of pointless this year. Geoff Grace
I don't know what happened to the Rockets. My condolences, Joe. Joe Muscara
My condolences, Joe. This is as good of an explanation as any I've seen: Seven insights from Spurs-Rockets after the Game 6 wipeout Thanks, Geoff, for both. That's a pretty deep analysis that I may reread a few times to grok it all. That is why D'Antoni's refusal to play Montrezl Harrell (and, to a lesser extent given his late-season injury, Dekker) in Nene's absence was so strange. What was the point of the 1,064 minutes Harrell logged in the regular season, if not to use him in a postseason circumstance in which you literally have no other options beyond playing seven guys past their breaking points? I didn't understand this either. Meanwhile, there are some rumors that Harden was sick for two weeks, or even drugged. I'm sure if someone asks, he will deny it. Heck, he went out partying the other night after the loss. Also, I'm skeptical about Ryan Anderson as much as Lowe is. He tends to slump during the playoffs. ProfD
For a moment, I thought the Spurs would steal game 1 when they went up by 20 points. Then, I remembered Utah did the same thing in game 3. GSW came back and won that game. With or without Leonard, the Spurs will only win 1 game in this series. GSW is going back to the championship. Meanwhile, I surely hope the Wizards win tomorrow night mainly to derail the pundits pick of a Cavaliers-Celtics.
