I think generally, Kobe had greater highs and lows (scoring 81 points in one game is an enormous high, as is some of the amazingly difficult shots the guy put in). Duncan was generally more consistent, although his production had fallen off quite a bit toward the end, as would anybody's. I guess it's just human nature to compare people. I actually think the whole "vs" thing is really silly, tbh. Since Kobe initially patterned himself so much after MJ and they played the same position, that gets a lot of traction. And sometimes, it's fun. Duncan and Bryant will go down in history as two of the top players in the game who played for teams that were arguably the most dominant of the time. zephonic Posted November 5, 2016 Share Posted November 5, 2016 I really like the Dubs, I think they will be remembered as the team that changed the way the game is played, and I hate to see them lose. Except when it is the Lakers beating them, 117-97! I missed this game, only saw their opening game which they lost, but I thought they looked pretty good even so. Just because the Lakers are trying to lose (that really sucks, but they gave the Rockets one of the best sixth men in the league so now they have two in Eric Gordon and Lou Williams so I won't complain too much!), doesn't mean you shouldn't be watching... The Milwaukee Bucks look pretty serious (Alphabet, baby!), and the Utah/LAC series got off to a tumultuous start. The Wizards look dangerous today as well. Interested to see GSW play the Blazers with Durant back. Their three point shooting was back (it had been cold since late in the regular season), and their D seemed to really freeze SAS. It will be really interesting to see what adjustments the Spurs make for game two, and whether the Rockets can keep up the tempo against them. Has any team ever been that blown out in a playoff series game and come back to win the series? I don't remember it ever happening before, but I'm kinda dumb like that.
