HammondDave Posted June 11, 2016 Share Posted June 11, 2016 Oh yeah,,,, On the plane right now heading back from Spain and was listening to the Yes Progeny recordings that reveal in crystal clear quality Rick Wakeman's amazing keyboard brilliance. One thing that amazes me about his performance is how well he controlled the Mellotron in very challenging environments. I rarely hear it warble or miss a note. Which is pretty incredible considering how much he used it live. The same can be said about Mike Pinder, although his MKII's failed too often which some times resulted in tapes spilling out the back. Tough to deal with that considering how central the Tron is in the Moodies sound.
