Doerfler
Jon - thanks for always keeping us up to date with Lachy Doley. Love the way he sings, plays, and especially love the tone on his Hammond Organ and Hohner Clavinet.

mate stubb
Sounded great. Outkaster
Don't like that tone for that kind of music. He can play though. "Danny, ci manchi a tutti. La E-Street Band non e' la stessa senza di te. Riposa in pace, fratello" noblevibes.com

HammondDave
Definitely from the Lee Michaels' school of hard hitting HAMMOND playing. Pa Gherkin
Yup. First thing that struck me was Lee Michaels with a bass player added and lots of overdrive. Having the bass player frees him up to do a lot of slapping stuff that Lee didn't. I really like what this guy does. Great singing, playing and organ sound. People like him give me hope for live music.
analogholic
Awesome sound!!! All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident. Arthur Schopenhauer
Jr. Deluxe
Funny thing is he says somewhere on his Facebook page he just found out about Lee Michaels like a few weeks or months ago. How do you get to be a b3 player of his age and not know about LM?
WesG
AFAICT, Lee appears to be mostly known in the US. Plus he hasn't released anything 40 years as far as I can tell. I had never heard of him, either, until I started hanging out in organ-related forums. I'm 42. Lachey is 37, and Australian. Hammond: L111, M100, M3, BC, CV, Franken CV, A100, D152, C3, B3 Leslie: 710, 760, 51C, 147, 145, 122, 22H, 31H Yamaha: CP4, DGX-620, DX7II-FD-E!, PF85, DX9 Roland: VR-09, RD-
zxcvbnm098
And Lee's biggest hit here ("Do You Know What I Mean") has what I believe is a pipe organ on it, not a Hammond. Even US folks are not familiar with Lee Michaels..understandable given when he was big.

Could be the result of common influences (although in this case I'm hard pressed to say who they might be). www.alquinn.com

Aussie_Chicago
Definitely runs in the family, his brother , Clayton Doley is also a great Hammond player , their parents must be very proud ! Their is a few very good Hammond players in Australia and the Pacific , Mr Benebig, Tim Neal , Darren Heinrich just to name a few . "Ive been playing Hammond since long before anybody paid me to play one, I didn't do it to be cool, I didnt do it to make a statement......I just liked it "
