Singers are never wrong. It's the BAND that's off key.

And the keyboard players in particular with their fine tuning and half note buttons they occassionally forget to turn off.

And even when there isn't a keyboard player around, it is still their fault....

In my Floyd tribute we rehearse at our drummers, and they have a full protools studio setup there, and we record a lot of our rehearsals. The drummer is notorious for autotuning things, and then playing them back at the next rehearsal while we're setting up. It's funny seeing guys do a double take. There's one version of Shine On where he autotuned the guitars and vocals so they all were forced to use certain notes. It's so bad it's funny.

Here's a link. It's pretty long and difficult to make it the whole way thru.

Many years ago, I played with a singer who indeed said, "I'm not singing sharp... you're all playing flat!"

Maybe this is the best place for a shameless plug! Our now not-so-new new video at https://youtu.be/3ZRC3b4p4EI is a 40 minute adaptation of T. S. Eliot's "Prufrock" - check it out! And hopefully I'll have something new here this year. ;-)

In this case, it was the giant microphone's fault?

:rolleyes::laugh:

At least the audience was in tune with itself.

Dan . . . it sounded like your guitarist and vocalists had a few too many . . . :cheers:

It kind of reminded me of when my MicroKORG decides to detune. I always have to make sure my pitch and mod wheels are centered after using them because that can do horrible things otherwise. If that is not it, I find powering off and turning back on usually fixes things.

Those youtube videos are the equivalent of not being able to take your eyes away from a trainwreck. Thanks for sharing!

I particularly like to focus on how bad the background vocals sound along with the main singer. :pop:

How did he do that? Can you tweak the vocals with Melodyne? I know youtube has a isolated vocal tracks from the Bohemian Rhapsody. Did he use those or can you just take the song as such and transpose the vocals 'inside' of it?

I've heard songs being changed from Minor key to Major key also. Is that Melodyne too?

I have heard of her. She was an opera singer with zero talent, but with a lot of money en rich friends, so she still had a carreer. Very funny indeed!

The casino I play at has karaoke every Thurs night.....I've heard this before......

Hell, I sit in now and then with a "live karaoke" band that does 80's stuff for karaoke singers. My head usually explodes by the end of the evening.
