O.T. CD Data Files Different Countries Question

Hi, all . . . I know that if you are burning a C.D. to be played in any player for audio, you have to make sure you set the region code to match the country of the recipient.

I need to find out if I store *.mp3 files as data instead of ready to play audio, will I have to change the region code so that they can access them?

I cannot seem to find anything anywhere on line for this.

Thanks!

As a long time consumer of CD's sent from overseas I have never run across region coding. However DVD's can be region coded, but do not have to be, I think region '0' is no region. Long dead issue as DVD players sold everywhere come coded for all regions out of the box.

I have never run across region coding when ripping CD audio to mp3.

Fabulous!

Thanks.

I remember years ago sending a C.D. to England with "ready to play on your player" audio files and they said they could not open the files on their computer or their player. This was Windows to Windows, so not an O.S. thing.

I just wanted to make sure it was cool.
