My birthday is 2 weeks from Friday After it's opened, I may have to change my avatar "In the beginning, Adam had the blues, 'cause he was lonesome. So God helped him and created woman. Mr. Nightime Posted December 23, 2014 Author Posted December 23, 2014 And I hope things are going as well as they can for you guys. Thanks, Joe She's not doing great, but I got her something that might help. The biggest issue is tracking any exercise and her sleep. So I got her a Garmin Vivofit. If she can get some stamina back, she'll do better. Hospice has taken a lot of the stress off of her. "In the beginning, Adam had the blues, 'cause he was lonesome. Joe Muscara Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 I hope so, man. It sounds like you guys are still enjoying your time together, and that's great. jpgxk3 Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 You should be giving her the candy in the box! https://forums.musicplayer.com/images/icons/default/blush.gif Enjoy the SK2, it's a great rig. Best, Joe.
Mr. Nightime Posted December 23, 2014 Author Posted December 23, 2014 You should be giving her the candy in the box! https://forums.musicplayer.com/images/icons/default/blush.gif Enjoy the SK2, it's a great rig. Best, Joe. It all depends what the candy is. I just got a Behringer Cable tester, and there were a couple Bit'O Honeys in there. I'm not sure there's any candy in the box. Sweetwater took delivery the same day they shipped it to me. In fact, the day I ordered it, I was told that that was the last one of that shipment. All the others had already been sold. I just need to wait for them to get the $109 Hammond Gig Bag in and to me. "In the beginning, Adam had the blues, 'cause he was lonesome. So God helped him and created woman. churchkeybob Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 If it was mine, I'd have to open it (just to make sure it works) Then of course I'd have to play it for two days strait. Bless you and your wife this holiday season. ~BOB I'm practicing so that people can maybe go "wow" at an imaginary gig I'll never play. -Nadroj

Mr. Nightime Posted December 24, 2014 Author Posted December 24, 2014 It's not bothering me TOO much with it still in the box. I haven't had time for it the past few days anyway. Tonight I took the wife out to some stores for some last minute shopping, and didn't get home until after 10 PM. My alarm goes off at 4:30 AM, so there's no time today. Tomorrow, I have to go to church right after work, for rehearsal and 2 services. No time then. But, I'm taking a 4 day weekend so I'll have time then. Mr. Nightime Posted December 25, 2014 Author Posted December 25, 2014 It is set up in my office. for initial checkout I'm running it stereo into my office system. A small Soundcraft mixer then through my JBL computer speakers. First impression.....Holy S**t this thing sounds good. I've started the tweaking;, but it's just been a few minor things like adjusting for the FC-7 expression pedal, turning off the expression for the extra voices, turning off the damper for the tonewheel voices. I was a bit concerned how the keys would feel when playing piano, but I was pleasantly surprised. It will be very easy to be expressive. I'm still checking out all the different voices and presets, but so far extremely pleased. My wife's first reaction when it came out of the box was "Pretty. I like the color." That's her stamp of approval. Before the end of the week I'll have it connected to the Vent using the 8-pin cable, and going through my K-10.
