mak1457 Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 I was so excited to get the Hammond XPK-100 in via UPS today (kudos to the guys at Kraft for being quick - only 2 business days). I set it all up and was ready to plug and play when I made the unfortunate discovery - the plug is some weird Japanese or European setup - no way it was going to fit into my outlet. For someone who was waiting for this board for months ($$$), this was very unpleasant. Fortunately I had a burst of inspiration and went to Radio Shack and picked up a foreign to US plug adapter and it worked perfectly. The power supply for my main board (XK-1c) is "normal" so it never occurred to me that the XPK-100 (from the SAME company) was any different. There's still so much I don't know about this pro keyboard business. I hope any other surprises I have along the way can be as easily solved as this was. On the other hand, my Yamaha FC-7 also came and I've been happy with its response. No issues here. Hammond XK1-c, Hammond XPK-100, Yamaha FC-7, Spacestation V3
Aidan Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Sometimes happens, but usually it's us Europeans getting the shitty end of the stick When I bought my pair of QSC K10s, I was somewhat irked to discover that despite having just spent in excess of 1300UKP, the company couldn't be arsed to supply IEC leads with three-pin UK plugs.
