allan_evett Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Was searching Amazon for a particular music accessory, and found this: http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt198/allanevett/_12_zpsdf235cd2.jpg Maybe there should be a Dummies guide for getting around the KC Forum; seems there's one for just about everything else. Joe Muscara Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Wow. Edit: I had to go look this up. I found it on Amazon. The one review was pretty positive, because the reviewer felt that it was 'probably the least expensive out there for blank staff paper." Fascinating. "I'm so crazy, I don't know this is impossible! Hoo hoo!" - Daffy Duck "The good news is that once you start piano you never have to worry about getting laid again. More time to practice!" - MOI
The Real MC Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Staff paper can be handy. When a moment of inspiration hits at work, I can write on staff when I don't have music gear at my desk. I can figure out the key and notes in my head.
Bucktunes Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Staff paper can be handy. When a moment of inspiration hits at work, I can write on staff when I don't have music gear at my desk. I can figure out the key and notes in my head. I made a staff paper template for writing out lead sheets - I took a blank page of staff paper and marked it with bar lines, 4 bars per line. When I need another one, I put this template on the scanner and print copies. Hey, where did that "Keyboard Forum For Dummies" pic go? That was rather funny... :idk ><> Steve
Threadslayer Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 I made a staff paper template for writing out lead sheets - I took a blank page of staff paper and marked it with bar lines, 4 bars per line. When I need another one, I put this template on the scanner and print copies. I did the same thing for years. It always surprised me that, at least at that time, there wasn't a Word template or something that you could just download and print. It also never occurred to me that I could have bound up a stack of sheets and sold it for almost 10 bucks... Damn it. Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect. -Mark Twain

The one review was pretty positive, because the reviewer felt that it was 'probably the least expensive out there for blank staff paper." Fascinating. The Dummies guides are very helpful. I just happened to find this particular rendition amusing, and a little clever. I agree: for basic tear-out staff paper this is great, cost-effective option. Still, the cover comment: "The fun and easy way to start notating music today" left me wondering.... Sven Golly Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Are you kidding me? You guys don't know about BlankSheetMusic.net?
b3halt Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Blanksheetmusic.com is good, but I still don't like their spacing a little bit and logo, so I made these. Feel free to download them. I print them out a lot, and I don't need to buy staff paper anymore. 58 Hammond B3, 74 Leslie 122, 64 Hammond, A100, 61 Leslie 45, Hammond XK-5 system, Hammond SX Pro, SKX Pro, MAG P-2, etc... owned many others...
