OT: this strange attraction to harps ...

Cruising through Craigslist, found this ad for a cherry harp.

Clonk!

Hey, I'm a keyboard player, so what's the deal? It's strange, and I can't explain it. I've always wanted to learn the harp.

For the crowd here -- am I just weird, or is this something you might have experienced?

("Dude, take a 16 bar harp solo" -- said no one ever)

My wife plays piano quite well, but instantly fell in love with harps. This was four years ago. Today we've got a living room full of them.

Regarding the craigslist item, be aware that harps age like pianos, not very well. There's a lot of tension with all those strings, and they pull directly against the soundboard. A close friend owns an L&H 23 and loves it, but this is a 20 yo instrument. Check it out carefully.
