eric
My town has become a hotbed of local breweries. One of the most interesting brews is the Hardywood Gingerbread Stout. This stuff has developed a cult following as they only release a limited amount in bottles and kegs each holiday season. It only goes to certain stores and people line up to buy it. The bars that have it on tap sell out of it quickly. It is delicious. http://www.hardywood.com/sites/g/files/g281101/f/styles/large/public/201411/GBS%20tap.jpg I was happy that a friend gifted me a few bottles. They also make a version called Bourbon Gingerbread Stout.

Daddyg3042
We play here almost once a month. They pay us in beer...a case a piece. Gotta keep stocked up! http://oakbrew.com/sites/default/files/bottle_template_amber.png They have a great IPA, and espresso stout as well. There are at least a dozen more breweries in town, a few of which we play at occasionally. Pretty great for such a small town. "May you stay...forever young." Ken Beaumont
I live about 12 miles outside of Williamsburg, Va. We have Alewerks Brewing They have a nice selection of craft beers, it sort of makes up for also having an Anheuser-Busch (Budweiser) brewery. There are also a couple of other small breweries in the Hampton Roads area. http://alewerks.com/files/DSC_0932%20bottles.jpg Boards: Kurzweil SP-6, Roland FA-08, VR-09, DeepMind 12 Modules: Korg Radias, Roland D-05, Bk7-m & Sonic Cell

J Graul
One of the best beers I've ever tasted is Caffrey's Irish Ale. Drank it almost every night while working in England for about 5 weeks. Worst beer I ever tasted was at a brasserie in Orleans, France. It's a Belgian blonde beer called Leffe. Ugh! I'm quite partial to German wheat beers and English bitters. J_tour
Wow. You all are drinking some fancies. If it isn't at least 10%, I don't bother. But, hey, at least a gallon of that "inspires" me to remember "Auld Lang Syne" and all those novelty tunes.

clpete
There are so many breweries in the Bend Oregon area is hard to keep track. That last count I read there was 20 breweries. We play at one of the brew pubs a couple times a year. There are Pedal powered and walking tours to some of the brew pubs as there are 6 or 7 near downtown. We play for free. We get paid to set up and tear down.

I haven't tried that one yet, but I will now. I'm in Charleston SC this week on vacation and have found a bunch of brews that I can't get at home. Lots of stouts, some bourbon barrel aged ales, and a couple cases of Westbrook IPA, Rye PA, and Gose. I think I've spent $200 on beer to bring home. GovernorSilver
I was stoked to find San Diego's airport has Stone brewpubs that serve Stone on tap. Tried the smoked porter for the first time, and followed that up with one of the samplers before I had to board the plane. Good stuff!

DanL
Here's a pic of my score from my trip to Charleston. I can't get any of these in DE... All the 12oz bottles I got 4 or 6 packs of. Most interesting is the Westbrook Gose. Never had that style before, very tart and somewhat salty. http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj60/dan88z/Mobile%20Uploads/20150102_180736_zpsskjrgs3j.jpg Live: Korg Kronos 2 88, Nord Electro 5d Nord Lead A1 Toys: Roland FA08, Novation Ultranova, Moog LP, Roland SP-404SX, Roland JX10,Emu MK6 www.bksband.com www.echoesrocks.com

NoahZark
Two pages of posts about beer, and not a single mention of Guinness?!?! To me, a great pint of Guinness is, to paraphrase Ben Franklin (even though he never really said this), proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy. http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o89/noah822/guinness-1.jpg
DanL
Probably because Guinness is the Budweiser of stouts? I actually enjoy a Guinness from time to time, but there are many better stouts out there.
