Doerfler
That looks pretty wicked! Love the old Solina. I've been using VSM from GForce for years now so it's not for me but it's cool to see other companies offering this type of sound.
Dana.
FWIW, Solina V is modeled, whereas, for example, VSM, Stringer, UVI String Machines, Hollow Sun, and Sampletekk are sampled. According to what I've read, it's impossible for samples to accurately recreate the divide-down technology that the Solina uses. Loomer, Strings Dream, and Amber are modeled, though they're not specifically modeled after the Solina.

WOK has a modelled emulation too and since a long time: WOK Chromina little sister ... WOK Estrima Full Bucket Music has great modelled freeware string synths ... FBM Nabla (KORG Delta) FBM Deputy (ARP Omni/Quadra type) All for PC though. A.C.

Tonysounds
VSM is badass. I use it a lot. I'm not so big a fan of Arturia. Hitting "Play" does NOT constitute live performance. -Me.
Dana.
There's no shortage of Solina/string machine emulations out there. Obviously, there's a market for them, even in hardware (Waldorf Streichfett).
Tonysounds
Its funny.....I didn't know I wanted/needed them til I heard em! LOL I had gotten so used to using "strings" for "string machines" I forgot how cool the disco/Floyd/Santana machine was. Hitting "Play" does NOT constitute live performance. -Me.
