Cabo Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 I'm looking for something that will hold an iPad so that it's bottom actually rests on the keyboard (just above the keys), with it's top angled up. (I have some empty area with no controls on the keyboard). See this article on Roy Bittan for an idea of what I'm after. Does anyone use something like this? http://articles.courant.com/2012-10-21/entertainment/hc-boss-bittan-1021-20121021_1_e-street-band-danny-federici-bruce-springsteen Yamaha Montage M6, Nord Stage 4 - 88, Hammond SK-Pro 73, Yamaha YC-73, Mainstage, Yamaha U1 Upright
SpaceNorman Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 I put mine on some unused real estate on my Kronos 88 using four 1/2 inch diameter self adhering Velcro dots. I put the "hook" part on the keyboard and the "loop" (the soft side) on the back of the iPad. It's a 75 cent solution that works like a charm. The SpaceNorman
DulceLabs.com Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 ^^^ The Velcro idea is a great one. If you don't want to Velcro the back of your iPad, you can use a "wedge" or some type of case and Velcro that instead. Just an example of many types of wedges or holders: http://www.ipadcarts.com/images/DS-IP-iPhome2.jpg
Cabo Posted November 15, 2014 Author Posted November 15, 2014 DulceLabs, Something like that, only in portrait orientation would be perfect. Any idea who makes that one? Yamaha Montage M6, Nord Stage 4 - 88, Hammond SK-Pro 73, Yamaha YC-73, Mainstage, Yamaha U1 Upright

Joe P Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Maybe you can use the iRig mic stand mount to get it where you need to get it. You can attach it to a boom. http://www.ikmultimedia.com/joomla/images/ik_images/product_page/iklip2/iklip2_main_image_450_2.jpg

Had a show at the theater I work at a while back with a sort of classical meets indie pop group with a lot of strings, each of the 8 string players grabbed one of our short boom stands to hold their iPads. Of course, their rider hadn't mentioned that each one required an extra mic stand, so this left us 8 stands short on a really complicated show. Not fun.
