Doc Tonewheel
I still like the Boss RE-20 for a cheap echo pedal. New $249. Used, around $130. +1 - amazing on Rhodes. +1 - sounds great on my Minimoog and less repair intensive than a vintage Roland Space Echo
eric
I ended up getting a Lexicon MX200 on a Black Friday discount. It is exactly what I was looking for to use with the CP70B. It has great sounding effects, can do two at once with very easy and intuitive controls. It sounds awesome and I'm having fun with it! Thanks again for all the suggestions. Theo Verelst
If there is any brand for digital studio effects since the 70s, it's Lexicon..
bluzeyone
If there is any brand for digital studio effects since the 70s, it's Lexicon.. +1 Without a doubt for me too. Only thing that can whip it is an old Echoplex with a spring. . Remember them? My dad's was my first workstation/ sequencer. mynameisdanno
I'm a fan of the Line6 Echo Park. Similar to the DL4, no presets, but it can do a few things the DL4 can't (the most relevant for me is that you can do ping-pong with tape-style decay - I hook it up so it ping-pongs between the straight amp and the Leslie (or Ventilator). GovernorSilver
My new favorite delay pedal - Eventide H9 Max. Comes with all the TimeFactor algorithms. Also includes the algorithms from all the other Eventide stompboxes, plus 3 H9 exclusives - UltraTap, Resonator, and EQ Compressor. Quite a bargain compared to the combined cost of the four stompboxes, and takes up much less space. UltraTap's 64 maximum taps has a lot of possibilities for unusual delay sounds and can also do faux reverb. I think there's some modulation hidden in there too.I really dig it. Resonator is 4 Comb Filters combined with Delay and Reverb. You tune each of the Comb Filters to specific notes and select various rhythm patterns. More ambient sounding tones are possible if you don't want obvious rhythms going on. The other algos are great too, but they are better known. As with the other Eventide pedals, you can "only" load one algo at a time, but each algo is practically a multi-effect. Even some of the ModFactor algos can do delay/reverb kind of sounds. Onboard tuner is convenient for the Microbrute (sometimes it has to be tuned) - a bit weird to use with guitar/violin/bass/etc. because you have to hold down both switches but nice to have in any case for analog synths that need to be tuned. Six-string-man
Congratulations. The TimeFactor is one of the best two delays on the market today, along with the Strymon Timeline. I love the way the TimeFactor lets you run two delays at once. SSM Occasionally, do something nice for a total stranger. They'll wonder what the hell is going on! GovernorSilver
Thanks! I forgot to mention that for those who have H9 Core or H9, Eventide has an upgrade program in which you only have to buy 10 or 15 algorithms to qualify for the Max upgrade - this is until April 1. http://eventideplugins.elasticbeanstalk.com/h9maxout.html A Max unit can share all its algorithms with up to 4 other H9 units. That was one of the considerations for my purchasing an H9 Max. I could use one on my Microbrute, another on my viola, yet another on my MS-20 Mini, etc. but only have to buy an H9 Cores, which cost quite a bit less than the Max and H9 (regular) versions. Nice demo with a Microbrute: [video:youtube]
