02R96
Check it out here... Epiphone Rossa Corsa My take: I like it a lot. It has a very classy look; I simply love the color scheme. My guess is the fit and finish will be very good too (from what I've been reading about new Epi's). And I'm sure it screams. Plus since it's an Epi, it will be more affordable than most Gibson signature models. +1 What I don't like: The goofy Slash logo on the headstock. Anyone else interested in this guitar? Not on my GAS list since I just bought my LP Studio Pro, but I still want to try one out. Dan "I hate what I've become, trying to escape who I am..." Winston Psmith
I get a grin out of this because the LP's we mainly associate with Slash were actually custom one-offs; high-end Gibson copies made by a luthier in SoCal, IIRC. I think at least one of the previous Gibson/Epiphone Slash models was even based on one of those guitars. I guess imitation really is the sincerest form of flattery. Still, I'd rather see more young people take up a Slash-inspired guitar and rock out, than try to be Pop Stars, and, FWIW, I really love my Epi guitars. "Monsters are real, and Ghosts are real too. Larryz
It looks like a cool guitar and probably has some kick ass quality to it too! Slash fans will go for it I'm sure and Epi's are usually very reasonable on the price. I would choose the LP Studio if given a choice... Guitarzan
Epiphone is way better than they used to be. some newer models are damn nice. i am not gassing for the Slash model but there are two Epis at our local store that have my eye. the 1960 tribute with Gibson pickups and locking tuners in a plain cherry burst. no fancy flame. and a newer flame top with a beautiful three tone burst. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=193274 rock it, i will

02R96
Ya know, I've seen some of the lower end Epi's that have the burst applied so bright and heavy they look toy like; similar to something you'd see at Walmart. whitefang
Frankly, any REAL guitar picked up and taken on by any kid now-a-days if preferable to a TURNTABLE or GUITAR HERO in MY book! Whitefang PS: I think the aforementioned guitar DOES look nice I started out with NOTHING...and I still have most of it left!
Stringer_Bell
A lot of the Epi's I try out these days are really great, I would love to give this one a look as well. The thing I've always noticed is that I will like some Epi's of the same model and year better than others, not sure why, but they don't all feel perfectly uniform. Maybe that has gotten better in recent years. That said, I've got a Casino that's exactly as good as any Gibson hollowbody I've played.
Dannyalcatraz
I think that with Gibson repositioning itself recently, Epiphone will be given more leeway with their designs...and I think this is an early first example. Dannyalcatraz
Reading the interview in the press release makes me want an answer to the question: how many LP-style guitars does Slash have...and who actually made them? I mean, he's thought of as a Gibson guy by most, I'd imagine, but the way he talks about Epiphones,,,maybe he actually owns & plays more of those than we realize. Sturgeon's 2nd Law, a.k.a.
