OT: BB King taken ill

Recommended Posts

B.B. King, the legendary blues guitarist, fell ill Friday night during a performance at the House of Blues in Chicago and canceled the remainder of his current tour.

Mr. King, 89, was immediately evaluated by a doctor and was said to be suffering from dehydration and exhaustion, his website said. He canceled the eight remaining shows of his tour, including an Oct. 13 gig in New York at the Times Square music club that bears his name.

Get well soon.

Occasionally, do something nice for a total stranger. They'll wonder what the hell is going on!

Remember, "B" is 89 now and has had type II diabetes for the past 20 years. It's amazing he's still been gigging.

"Gambler's Blues" (Live At The International Club, Chicago/1966)

From 'Blues is King' featuring Bobby Forte on sax and Duke Jethro on B3 organ. This is the band led by Sonny Freeman.
