ProfD
George Duke was the man. I was fortunate enough to see him perform a few times. Music poured from George Duke's soul. He effortlessly made his performances a Jazz trip, Funk-fest and spiritual revival all in one concert. Zephonic, thanks for posting that mayne. Al Coda
George Duke was the man. I was fortunate enough to see him perform a few times. Had the luck seeing him w/ Frank Zappa (2x) and w/ Stanley Clarke. I was young at that time and still played only my Fender Rhodes. Like Joe Zawinul, George Duke for me was some kind of revelation. His 1974 records, "Faces in Reflections", "Feel" and "The Aura will Prevail" are still part of my all time favourites. A.C.
Reezekeys
I've been playing "Geneva" at my weekly jam gig. That is not an easy tune to blow on - but a challenge I like! I got the chart from George's website.
MAJUSCULE
Man, what emotion. Gave me shivers, even though I got interrupted a couple times. Gonna have to treat myself to a second listen later. Just to make this a KC thread, though... Who noticed the CP5 (Was it?) in the Rhodes shell? Compared to the as is Wurly?
