richforman
....I don't have the magazine in front of me now so I can't list all of you, but I was reading it over my cereal this morning and happy to see a bunch of fellow posters published in Keyboard magazine, quoted in the brand-new issue, in an article taken from the poll they did right here about people's live rigs. I did notice that Alan from Los Endos made the cut, awesome man, just pretty exciting, I'm kind of jealous, wish I'd come up with something more quotable myself! To see your name in the magazine we've all read for years and years, quoted about your experience as a representative of the entire worldwide keys-gigging community. Bet your bandmates are all proud! HAMEGZ
Yes Kudos to those that did. It is nice to see "regular" guys rigs, after lusting after pictures of those big rigs from the touring acts. Having not received a PM, I didn't make the cut :idk SpaceStation V3, MoxF6,PX5S,Hammond-SK2,Artis7,Stage2-73, KronosX-73,MS Pro145,Ventilator,OB DB1,Lester K Toys: RIP died in the flood of 8/16 1930 Hammond AV, 1970s Leslie 145, 1974 Rhodes Stage

Joe Muscara
Yes, it's the one with Benmont on the cover. I did mention this already in one of the aforementioned threads. I guess y'all missed that. I don't even think Losendoskeys saw why I mentioned it there. "I'm so crazy, I don't know this is impossible! mcgoo
...I was reading it over my cereal this morning and happy to see a bunch of fellow posters published in Keyboard magazine, quoted in the brand-new issue, in an article taken from the poll they did right here about people's live rigs. ... I was pretty tickled that my rig got used. I know a few of you saw my facebook post where I kinda poked fun at myself over the deal. For those I'm not fb friends with, ya might get a kick out of this. Mr. Fortner even commented on the post: My post (along with a pic of the rig): Since 1978, when I bought my 1st issue of (then) Contemporary Keyboard magazine, I've wanted to be featured on the cover. Well, 36 years later, it ain't happened yet. But wait... my keyboard rig just got featured in a story about working keyboard players! Not me, just my gear.... on page 38. It's a start I guess. Mr. Fortners comment: Hey Greg. I made your rig photo the opening image because it was the perfect combination of hardware and software, which illustrates the transitional point that keyboards are at these days. Thanks so much for sending that. As to being on the cover, here's the secret: Make a record of your own that all keyboard players wind up listening to. Benmont Tench is our June cover, and it's his first solo cover ever. Why? Because he made his own record, dammit! But there's no doubt that working keyboardists are the unsung heroes of music. I came up as one and miss those days sorely. So.... just thinking as I type... maybe if do a quick CD & bribe everyone here to buy it, I could show Mr. Fortner I'm cover worthy! In reality, I'm quite sure I don't have near enough money. :idk Custom Music, Audio Post Production, Location Audio www.gmma.biz https://www.facebook.com/gmmamusic/
