vonnor
http://www.famcmusic.com/ They look pretty beastly. Anybody have experience? I've been GAS'ing for a smaller foot controller than my old LBS Midi Mitigator. The Mini might do the trick. ~ vonnor Gear: Hardware: Nord Stage3, Korg Kronos 2, Novation Summit Software: Cantabile 3, Halion Sonic 3 and assorted VST plug-ins. JeffLearman
For $900 I'd rather get an additional keyboard, but it sure looks nifty.
GovernorSilver
For $900 I'd rather get an additional keyboard, but it sure looks nifty. You must be looking at the 12+ model. The Mini model, as mentioned in the OP, is $420. Still pretty high compared to other MIDI foot controllers, but seems to be popular with Axe FX users. GovernorSilver
No worries. Liquid Foot Mini is one of the potential MIDI foot controllers I'm looking at myself, as well as these: http://www.gordius.be/index.php http://www.keithmcmillen.com/softstep2 http://www.disasterareaamps.com/ The last two are at significantly lower price points. The last one you have to ask the manufacturer to program certain things for you.
vonnor
Well, seeing as FAMC is right down the road from where I work, I went ahead and ordered a LF+ Mini. Will get it this evening and post a critique after I mess with it a bit. It will primarily be used to control TopTen software's Cantabile midi routing/processing application with my feet. I had been using a Lake Butler Sound Midi Mitigator pedalboard for that. ~ vonnor Gear: Hardware: Nord Stage3, Korg Kronos 2, Novation Summit Software: Cantabile 3, Halion Sonic 3 and assorted VST plug-ins. ScottK
Vonnor, I know this is an old thread, but I'm wondering if you're still using your LBS MIDI Mitigator? I'm looking for one, and got sniped on an eBay bidding war. Thanks! --ScottK
Six-string-man
They seem a bit expensive for what is basically a posh switch box - or is that just me? SSM Occasionally, do something nice for a total stranger. They'll wonder what the hell is going on!
vonnor
@ScottK: I recently sold it eBay. I should have posted it here I apologize, I only got $65 for it on auction. @SSM: I think you're paying for a lot of capabilities that you likely wouldn't need or use. As far as midi routing, processing and generation, there's almost nothing it can't do. ~ vonnor Gear: Hardware: Nord Stage3, Korg Kronos 2, Novation Summit Software: Cantabile 3, Halion Sonic 3 and assorted VST plug-ins.
