zephonic Posted March 31, 2014 Share Posted March 31, 2014 I used to own an Akai MPC2000, which I sold about 12 years ago. Have been ITB since, but never entirely happy with Cubase's MIDI timing. Now contemplating if the MPC Studio would be a good way of getting some of that groove back, so I'd like to hear from owners/users. * Is it as tight/groovy as the original MPC? This is my main concern. Both in standalone and VST mode. * How well does the software work? It looks simple and straightforward, is it stable? * How well does it work as a plug-in? Do you get to keep the sequencing abilities, and does it just sync up to the host tempo? And any other observations/experiences you may wish to share.
