skipclone 1
Well I played a short set for Black history month at my favorite venue last night. Not my best performance, but to my surprise one of the other performers was Ray Dorsey, an original member of The Drifters. During my set he was sitting at a table, and I could hear him singing along, even to my originals. We talked a bit later and, he said he liked my singing, wanted to do something together and gave me his card. Every minute listening to him was like an education. Pretty kool stuff. Larryz
I was doing some jazzy tunes at an open mic and I caught some of the people at the tables singing along to tunes from the 60's and 40's. It was very cool to see young and old not only knowing the songs but enjoying the them! You can't go wrong with Under The Boardwalk Skip...Hitch your wagon to a star and have some big time fun! You were caught (as Dylan would say) "In a simple twist of fate"... call the man! very cool! Take care, Larryz
