Six-string-man
I am GASsing for a MOXF. I was on the Motifator site, looking at the "Inspiration in a Flash" package, and saw that some of the sounds come from the "Vintage Keys" pack. I can't find any info on exactly how much of one pack is incorporated into the other. My question is, is it worth buying the Vintage Keys pack if you already have the Inspiration in a Flash pack? Is there much duplication? I wouldn't want to waste money on Vintage Keys, only to find that I already have most of the best sounds. Cheers, SSM Occasionally, do something nice for a total stranger. They'll wonder what the hell is going on!
AnotherScott
"Inspiration in a Flash" has "31 sounds...from the DCP Productions libraries including voices from Vintage Keyboards, Bees Knees, Axxe, Complete Orchestra and Mo School " - not surprisingly from that math, it has 6 sounds from VK, while the Vintage Keys pack alone has 128 sounds, still leaving you with 122 new sounds in the VK pack. The 6 "overlap" sounds are: Rhodes Suitcase Wurlitzer 129 Clavinet D6 Mellotron (string) Mini 3-Osc 5th Jump Maybe this is the best place for a shameless plug! Our now not-so-new new video at https://youtu.be/3ZRC3b4p4EI is a 40 minute adaptation of T. S. Eliot's "Prufrock" - check it out! And hopefully I'll have something new here this year. ;-)
Six-string-man
That's brilliant A.S. thanks. The Vintage Keys pack would definitely be worth buying then. You'd think they would put this on the Motifator site somewhere! As an aside, where do you come by all your arcane knowledge? Every time I ask something off the wall, it always seems to be you that comes up with an answer! Glad that you're on this forum. Cheers, SSM Occasionally, do something nice for a total stranger. Aussie_Chicago
OR, you can download these that are free for the mox, I did it the other day and theres some very usable voices there, and it dosnt take up any flash memory, some decent Rhodes and Rhodes / layered voices and some old school synth stuff too. I havnt tried the vintage keys sounds, not sure if I want to spend any money on extra voices unless there really good . http://www.motifator.com/index.php/forum/viewthread/465292/ "Ive been playing Hammond since long before anybody paid me to play one, I didn't do it to be cool, I didnt do it to make a statement......I just liked it "

Phloid
That's brilliant A.S. thanks............where do you come by all your arcane knowledge? Every time I ask something off the wall, it always seems to be you that comes up with an answer! Glad that you're on this forum.... So true! Whether a question is off the wall or basic Anotherscott is the quintessential contributor of knowledge. Having read many of his posts I suspect his wisdom comes from a love for knowledge of a given subject. Understanding, sharing and discussing that information is important. He shares his information with tact and respect. When faced with being wrong it ruffles some egos while it is typically clear that Anotherscott's intent is to present accurate information to benefit everyone reading the thread rather than to self-righteously step in as superior. I suspect that because the knowledge is his priority it gives him an edge being unhindered with a need to prove himself or his opinion to be right. If only there was somewhere to ask a question about Motifator products on the Motifator site. Oh, wait... Yeah, Bad Mister got a good thing going on over there. He even stopped by here once Sven, while you were away, with quite an informative post about the CP4 on that thread.
