OT: Next project; rotating stand

JB Weld is a metalized epoxy. It will be fine in this application as it is not stressed.

Have you painted it yet? If not, may I recommend Rustoleum Appliance Epoxy spray paint? It will look great I and be durable. I used it on some DIY light stands recently.

Since no one else has said it yet...

The rotating stand is cool and all, but I really think it would end up being cheaper and less hassle to just get a real Leslie.

btw, if anyone ever wonders about that onstage mic attachment--it's awesome as long as you have a hollow tube on your stand it can fit in. Works great with all my stands, onstage or otherwise, it's so nice to not have to wrestle with a floor stand.

Good point!

Although I do like the doppler effect I get when sustaining a note on the PX350 thru it's speakers, when I spin it .......

I have changed the 2nd tier. The original one wasn't biting hard enough with it's teeth and would slowly move.

So, I went and got the Pro Line 2nd tier at GC yesterday that inserts into the back of a square or round tube. Much more stable and is locked solidly in place.

My On Stage Stands Mic adapter arrived today as well. Pics below.

Mic attachment. Fits in rear of one of the 2nd tier tubes. Solid. You can see my 1987 Apex, my new AX48 and my AX90 missile launcher in background :) Stands for all occasions.

Working on the shroud tonight and tomorrow. Should be all done Saturday, and ready for its debut next week!

More later...

What about your pedals? Will you not use them while you're spinning?

I own two FC7 and two FC3.

Y-cables.

A pair of pedals will be placed at two different places. I will be able to reach them wherever I'm standing. I've already been practicing this.
