Prophet 08 action - Keyboard model.

Is the action alright say after a year of good use?

What is is like? Is it half way decent?

I am sort of GASing for a hardware analog (really good VA might work) polysynth that sounds nice in unison mode. The 12 is too much money for a toy I don't really need. I suppose there is the Nord. I want a filter that can self oscilate.

Thanks.

PS Maybe something new will come out at NAMM. - First I have to buy a silver 4 valve Euphonium for my 16 year old. Want to do that now before I have 2 in college. Keyboards are pretty cheap.

Thanks!

I like the sounds. I want a new analog board that is sort of old school layout. P08 seems to be the one that fits the bill. Don't like wall warts but I will live with it. My SH-101 uses a wall wart. I wasn't even looking for stellar action just something playable.

Thanks again.

I have had mine for 4 years (its a Poly Evolver Keyboard though) and no problems.

The PEK uses a FATAR TP9 semi-weighted action - same keybed that's in Andromeda.

The P'08 and P12 do, in fact, use the same keybed. Not sure what model it is, but I do not believe it's a FATAR.
