Ybyb
Brothers of the felt, I think you may enjoy this musical offering. Included are different concepts for the LH during improv, 2-hand improvising, the rodeo, The doorknob and many others) Keep swingin from NYC! orangefunk
Always great stuff- I feel like I could retire and just learn more and more about jazz piano. ah well one day. As I get older I am thankful I have what I have. In the meantime I will try and absorb stuff even though I am not quite technically proficient to do it all
JCRoswell
Thanks, Dave. While this particular video is a few steps further down the road than I'm ready for I checked out some others. The modal vamping had a concept that was EXACTLY what I needed today: write out an alternate melody, play it first, improvise more, and come back to that melody. So simple, yet brilliant. Maybe "Footprints" won't kick my butt so badly this weekend. I thank you. My band thanks you. My audience thanks you. :-) Live rig: Roland FA-08, Yamaha MOTIF ES 6, laptop for supplemental sounds. Joe Muscara
Another great one, Dave. I hope you are bringing in the bucks while you give these away for free.
