Dave Ferris
I had to check to remember what this thread is about. Mountain bikes and the augmented scale on Maj. 7th chords ! So the end of Oct. I traveled up to Point Reyes, North of SF, and put some dough down on a Steve Potts titanium 29er. http://www.stevepottsbicycles.com/ It's a custom bike measured to my height and weight...I'm on his waiting list (33 guys ahead of me) and probably won't get it till June. My dilemma is whether to go with his rigid Type II fork or Fox 100mm front shock. I'm 60 so even though I just ride fireroads (this is my trail by my house ) , I could use the extra cush of the Fox fork over rigid. What do you guys think ? https://soundcloud.com/dave-ferris https://www.youtube.com/@daveferris2709
wmp
I watched that clip and didn't hear any major 7 chords or augmented scales. I'd go for the smooth ride. --wmp
allan_evett
I checked out Steve Potts site; some serious gear there, Dave. . Makes my Rincon, by Giant, seem pretty simple. Haven't ridden too much lately, though. But the latest hike - this past fall - was amazing.. I agree with Wayne - I'd go for the smooth ride 'Someday, we'll look back on these days and laugh; likely a maniacal laugh from our padded cells, but a laugh nonetheless' - Mr. Boffo. We need a barfing cat emoticon!

Synthoid
I had to check to remember what this thread is about. Haven't seen the rails in a while... Elephants, clowns, monkeys...it must be a circus! OK, now I'm really confused. When an eel hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's a Moray.
