I-missRichardTee
[video:youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-k6Mz8oI6w The "organ" sounds are coming from Bernard Wright donned in undershirt . He and others are using wonderful sounds I would like to know more about. This band is an amazing collaboration of very talented people. Around 19 min in the trumpet player Michael Patches Stewart is playing the EWI; and sounds amazingly good on it. Love this band. I notice that Marcus is now travelling with a much smaller ( think economy ) band. I miss that band. You don't have ideas, ideas have you We see the world, not as it is, but as we are. I-missRichardTee
Re Jamaica Boys: I had never heard of them, thanks. Was Omar Hakim ever with them? When did Poogie Bell enter the scene? I am surprised there is not more support for this amazing music. Oh, well, I should not be surprised, should I? Finally what is up with Bernard Wright? Would love to chat with him! Thanks again. Jazz+
Joe Sample sounded so soulful on his recordings with Marcus Miller, Omar Hakim and Lenny Castro. [video:youtube]
Philip Clark
Pretty sure during their heyday, it was pretty much Marcus, Lenny White and Dinky Bingham. Wish I could find more than just this vid. [video:youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aA4kilg-G7Y Bernard Wright apparently lives in Dallas.
